Fishing in the Dark is here to provide you with a full day of bass fishing. This includes:
· How to Bass fish
· How to use/set up the equipment
Vets listen: I am not going to poke and prod you about your mental state and your experiences. I am looking at this as an opportunity for you to be given the tools to have an outlet when your having bad days. If you would like to talk about how you are feeling or what you are going through, I will gladly engage in the conversation. Just know that I am not going to force you to tell me how you are feeling. Also know this is a sober experience. If you want to go out and drink or do narcotics, this is not the trip for you.
The reason I chose bass fishing:
Many people have passion’s and I have many. Growing up my father taught me how to fish by using a bobber and a worm. It is such a simple task of sitting, waiting, and wishing for a fish to bite. I didn’t know it then, but it allowed to me to clear my head and just focus on the present. After I got back from Iraq I needed something to help my restless mind. I am not going to lie, it took me years to rediscover fishing. However, when I started fishing, I started enjoying my life more than I had in years. My wife even noticed a difference. It has helped me process a lot of my mental stresses from being deployed. Fishing has been my fix to years of mental frustration. I hope to provide this same relief to fellow veterans though Fishing in the Dark.
